Beat Up Everyone You Know in EA’s “FaceBreaker” Boxing Game

This isn’t the typical boxing simulation games like EA’s  Fight Night.  Facebreaker (360, PS3, Wii) brings us back to the day’s of Mike Tyson’s Punch Out from the 80s.  Just like Punch Out, the characters have a comical and sterotypical look and style, but what makes the game special is the Photo GameFace feature, which allows you to upload real-life photos to create new characters and share them online.  Now you can kick that annoying neighbor’s butt without the risk of an assault charge.  via Complex

Brings Region Free to the Nintendo Wii Without a Modchip

Here’s an interesting find for those of us with Nintendo Wiis.  Hackers are showing off a program that loads through the Wii homebrew channel and allows you to run international Wii and Gamecube discs in spite of existing region protection.  The hack is completely software-based and Nintendo has eliminated the functionality of older Wii region protection workarounds.  This unnamed exploit looks like the next big thing for those of you willing to navigate Japanese menus to play titles a few days/months early and it should be downloadable soon.  via Gizmodo | DCEmu | Kotaku
