Sole Collector celebrates their magazine’s 5th Year Anniversary and with the help of the Nike Sportswear division, they created a 5th Anniversary Sole Collector edition of the Air Penny II. The shoe’s colorway of Black/Anthracite/Volt that ties in with the original SC Forum’s colors. These Air Penny II were made just for the Sole Collector team and won’t be coming to retail. On Friday, May 8th, Sole Collector drops their collaboration set with Jhung Yuro and Tanner Goods, called the Premium. Included in the detailed and extensive set is one pair of co-branded Jhung Yuro sneakers, a two-tone natural leather Tanner Goods cardholder, a slip bag and a high quality reptilian collector’s box. Details include premium leathers from Tanner Goods with a brown leather upper, cashew accents, a pigskin liner/insole and silver eyelets, rounded out with each brand’s logo lasered on the upper ankle. The shoe also includes a matching natural leather cardholder. A dozen sets will be made available to the public for $150 beginning at 8PM at Tanner Goods’ flagship store, Hecklewood Lifestyle Boutique, located on 114 NW 3rd Ave in Portland, Oregon.
Sole Collector has reported this Friends and Family Big Nike Hyperstrike that celebrates Kobe Bryant’s MVP award. Done up in soft and rich premium black leather upper, accented with ‘MVP’ along the heel that includes Kobe’s Sheath logo. On the inside there is a soft leather collar lining, as well as a leather insole that features graphics including a frame-by-frame drive to the basket silhouette of Kobe along with his regular season per game statistics and shooting averages. Rumors has this shoe produced under 100 pairs, so good luck getting a hold of one.
