Last week, Self Edge has begun stocking Buzz Rickson in their shop and  online store.  The fall line kicks off with this new shirt from the Fall 2008 season, the Buzz Rickson US Navy repro work shirt made of indigo chambray.  Every original and distinctive styling feature from the 1940’s has been reproduced, including true, hard-wearing chambray fabric that beautifully fades to light blue with age, reinforced shoulder yoke, dark blue selvage edges, bakelite-style dish buttons, double-stitched seams for superior strength and even authentic labeling.  Pick up yours here.

While in Japan, Self Edge helped design a Natural Indigo dyed shirt with Dry Bones,  a beautifully dyed Natural Indigo Pin Striper Shirt.  With a flap chest pocket, a vintage workwear style button enclosure, and triple stitched throughout this shirt is exactly what we wanted in a classic style shirt but in a dark natural indigo woven fabric.   The shirt appears quite dark when new, but will lighten after a few washes and fade over time just like indigo denim.  Available in store and on-line.

This Self Edge CPO shirt is made of a great slubby brown cotton duck material with lots of character like  vintage buttons and for the first time, the shirt even comes with snap button enclosures for the pockets and the forearm.  The shirt is modeled after the classic Chief Petty Officer work, but they put a western spin on the classic design on this version by slightly larger buttons for a more homey and comfortable feel, the body is also cut longer on these than the rest of the Self Edge shirts. via Superfuture

New cut & sew pieces has arrived from In4mation’s Summer Collection.  These woven button up shirts come in two styles.  One is the Tavalu that features a short sleeve woven plaid with hawaiian trim, raw edge, lightweight “quaze” fabrication.  The other is the Fiji, that is made in a lightweight plaid western style with snap button closure, lurex detailing and contrast piping.
