Sole Collector forum member, Rosso, took the Staple “Pigeon” colorway and applied it to a pair of Nike Air Max 90s. So well executed that Jeff Staple gave his approval on the pair. I wouldn’t mind a pair myself.
After months since we first seen this shoe, the next chapter in the “Pigeon” series will release this weekend at select retailers like Kicks. The Staple Design x Converse Sea Star is a Chukka-style sneaker with a nice mix of leather + suede on the upper and a ripstop collar with a padded lining. Following through with the famous Pigeon and consistent colorway, these will be gone quick.
Staple continues the success of their Pigeon inspired sneaker with the most recent collaboration with Converse. For this partnership, they are launching a new silhouette but the same Pigeon colorway seen on the Nike and New Balance. In a recent Sneaker Freaker interview with Jeff Staple of Staple Design and the Reed Space, they unveiled more detailed photos of the upcoming Pigeon New Balance 575. Having the same colorway of the notorious Pigeon Nike SB Dunks, these NB575s has two pigeon hits on the back with a New York skyline on the tongue. Distribution per Jeff Staple is 800 worldwide with 144 allocated per region with an August 6th release date.
