USA Basketball just wrapped up their four-game friendly exhibition games with a close win over Austrailia in preparation of the Beijing Olympics.   Nike created three special mockups of signature shoes for NBA star’s Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant.  The Friendlies Pack includes the Hyperdunk for Kobe, the Zoom Soldier II PE for LeBron and Olympia Supreme PE for Carmelo. All has the US National Team colors mixed in with various Chinese characters and influences.  via Hypebeast

With the way Dwayne Wade has been killing it during the exhibition games this week, fans must be wondering if “its got to be the shoes.”  As part of the Nike/Jordan Brand/Converse collective “United We Rise” Series, Converse has created these “United We Rise” Converse Team Wade Signature sneakers for D-Wade to wear during the Summer 2008 Beijing Olympics.  The sneaker features a Red/White/Blue upper with the Joshua “Hydro74″ Smith designed “United We Rise” reflective tribal print on the toe and at the heel and the “United We Rise” logo at the tongue.”  Look for an 8/8/08 release at select Converse retailers with only 2008 made.  via Sneaker Freaker

Designers THUY3 and miQ willmOt of TWEEQiM studios worked with Nike’s Innovation Kitchen on the imagery for Team USA’s uniforms for Olympic Games in Beijing .  The design is based on the “We the People” piece pictured below and you can see similar cues on both pieces.  via Vinyl Pulse

The Olympics brings the chase for gold, silver and bronze, next Friday at select Nike Olympic dedicated pop-up shops will be this Nike Air Max 1 “Olympic Perforated Metal” Pack.  So far the pack is two Air Max 1s with one in gold and one in silver, but it makes you wonder where the bronze is at.   via HighSnobiety

This is Major’s latest New Era creation, China Quest, one week earlier than their previously planned release date of 8-8-08.  It is designed to celebrate the 2008 Olympics in China, the cap pays homage to the host country with the traditional Red and Yellow Gold color scheme.  It features their classic Major Trinity Logo, New Era Flag on the side, and 3 Stars on the back, all in Gold embroidery.  The caps will be available for sale on their Online Store and in-store.

I hope you guys aren’t too tired of Olympic inspired Nike releases.  Well then, good because Nike has also this Beijing Olympics Dunk Low Color Pack.  It is five Dunk Lows that all come in more or less solid colors of red, green, yellow, blue and grey and feature the Olympic Octagon logo.  Look for the Nike Beijing Olympics Color Pack at retailers like X-Girl on the August 8th.  via HighSnobiety
