In honor of Kobe Bryant’s amazin 81 point performance on January 22nd, 2006,  Nike put together a new line of sneakers, the Zoom Kobe 81.  Priced as a more affordable option compared to the Hyperdunks, this shoe features a visible air unit located at the heel, breathable webbed molding, and a White / Black - Metallic Gold colorway.  The shoe has released already in parts of Asia and show be popping up at Nike retailers soon.  Also look for other colorways of this Kobe 81.

Tomorrow, June 28th select Southern California locations like Proper will sell this limited edition Zoom Kobe III MVP Edition Pack.  Featuring a mainly white base with Laker yellow and purple accents.   Like most of the limited Kobe Bryant releases, this should sell out real quick.

During a party in New York last night, Shaq throw’s in a little Kobe (Bryant) diss during freestyling on the mic.  It was all done in fun and games according to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith.

“I was freestyling. That’s all. It was all done in fun. Nothing serious whatsoever. That is what mc’s do. They freestyle when called upon. I’m totally cool with Kobe. No issue at all. And by the way, don’t forget, six albums, two platinum, two gold. Anybody who knows me knows I’m a funny freestyler.
