True East Two-Year Anniversary

I flew to The Bay on business Sept. 4. On the 6th, I spoke with buyers in SF for Elijah Linh and had just enough time to check out the True East BBQ in celebration of their two-year anniversary at the Walnut Creek store.

The Art of Wore.

Dee (left) is wearing: Supreme hat, True East Anniversary Walnut Tee, and DQM ‘90 Airmax’s. Johnnie is wearing: Custom SF Giants hat, Oakley x Supreme Frogskin Sunglasses,  HazexStussy Tee, The Hundreds shorts, and Nike Zoom Flight “The Glove”.

Tomas is wearing: Golden State Warriors hat, Stussy Tee, and Air Jordan Spizikes.

Pics Up of Pick Ups.

I couldn’t leave the store without a little shopping. Starting on the left with my fave: Hellz Bellz Kiss Me Tee, True Logo Tee in the 49er’s colorway of course and True Postmark Tee in the SF Giants colors. The rolled up ones were giveaways: True East Anniversary Walnut Tee and Individual Sole Logo Tee.

Fresh Choice.

Coup De Grace Now You Know Tee with Biggie’s lyrics from “Juicy”  (If you don’t know, now you know.) written in French on the back.

Women’s True I Got 5 On It Tee featuring The Bay Bridge (even though toll changed to $6 since it got released).

Tease Tips.

I wouldn’t dare hide the intricate back of this Elijah Linh piece, so I opted against leaving my hair down or putting it in a low ponytail. I threw it into a literal one minute up-do. Here’s how: Gather hair at the nape of the neck and tie it into a ponytail. Next, braid the ponytail (in my case, I braided halfway down.) Wrap it around the base of the ponytail and pin into place. If you want a neater look, braid ponytail all the way and then wrap.

Alternate looks: (1) Sophisticated/elegant: If I were going to a dinner and was looking for something more sophisticated, I would brush it into a low ponytail, make it into a very neat bun, and use styling products as necessary. (If I had time, I would have done it this way instead, esp. with that amount of detail on the dress.) (2) Fun/playful: Show off the back with a high ponytail.
