Futura’s strong connections with Japan continues with this recent collaboration with Nitraid. It is a capsule collection of fabric accessories, made up of a cushion, passport case, waist bag and coach file. The image with the text overlay makes an interesting pattern.

It looks like Futura’s next collaboration with Nike is getting a little bigger with these Nike Air Force 1 High. Created with a Navy/White-Orange colorway and Futura’s signature logo on the tongue, as well as his script of Nike’s “Be True” Slogan on the soles. A sample pair is out before retail at OSneaker.

January 2010 will bring the next Futura designed Nike shoe. This Air Force 1 features a special fading perforation that gives the visual effect of the shoe getting darker in the rear. The tongue has a Futura tag and artwork that shows through with the clear soles.
Accompanying the release of the Livestrong Futura (for the love of money) FLOM Nike Dunk release is this matching Brook Saddle. The currency print would be a great addition to any frame looking for an interesting highlight.

A long-term collaborative partner, NY’s Futura has worked with Nike on numerous occasions providing design innovation at every step. For LIVESTRONG, he updated his most desired shoe, the FLOM (aka For Love or Money). Originally released by Nike SB and limited to only 24 pairs, the FLOM was gifted to friends leaving collectors yearning all over the world.
When asked why he wanted to be involved in the collection, Futura says, “The opportunity to contribute to what Lance is doing with LIVESTRONG is the primary motivation. It also marks the return of the FOR LOVE or MONEY . . . the FLOM has been re-minted.”

New York artist, Futura returns to collaborate with Nike by way of two Air Force 1 lows that are set to release in Spring 2010. Compared to his collaborations in the past, these colorways of the Nike x Futura AF1, one in White and Orange and another in Grey and White, are quite toned down. Futura’s logo is featured on the shoe’s tongue.
