Just in time for summer, you can keep your head in the shade with two new hats from Upper Playground.  The June New Era 59FIFTY Upper Playground hats feature the artwork of Sam Flores and FIFTY24SF.  Flores’ Lowrider Rainbow is embroidered in full detail on the dome of a light gray New Era.  The other is designed by the FIFTY24SF team and it’s called the Betting Card hat, that features one sure way to win or lose big. FIFTY24SF Gallery Presents “Letters From Digested Children” by Alex  Pardee and “Mythographic Vicissitudes” by Ron English.  The Opening Reception is Thursday, January 8, 2009 from 7–9 P.M.  In the upstairs gallery,  “Letters From Digested Children” by Alex Pardee,  a fine artist and illustrator based in San Francisco.  Whereas, on the lower level, Ron English’s “Mythographic Vicissitudes” will be on display.

This month’s Upper Playground New Era 59FIFTY collection includes designs from Jeremy Fish and Denis Kennedy.  An interesting design is the one from the Fifty24SF Gallery and that is of the stock ticker laid out in multi-colored panels.  Each hat retails for $45. Here are the latest New Era fitteds from Upper Playground and Fifty24SF.  The SF Bridges New Era depicts “The bridges of San Francisco County”, a novel and New Era by Sam Flores, and a soon to be movie starring Too $hort and Clint Eastwood.  The next one is Tricheco New Era is done in traditional Italian colors for those looking to rep for the Italianos.  The last one is the Vatican New Era, placing a beautiful Italian Fresco in an all over imagery that has never been done on a New Era before.
