Carrot Clothing has leaked out one of their pieces from the Fall 2009 line. This “Street Art is Gay” Sweater is done in collaboration with ESPO. Their line is really picking up steam and we’re looking forward to seeing the rest of the release.
The first print of the New Year at Pictures on Walls comes from Steve Powers (aka ESPO). Originally hailing from Philadelphia he became one of the most up names in New York, invented turning shutters into massive letters, was one third of the seminal ‘Street Market’ show. This print contains 12 colours, has two background options and is one hell of a nice piece of work.
For the Summer of 2009, the see through trend is back with a Nike Air Force II High with a clear mid panel and clear soles. It is rumored to be a follow up to the ESPO low that released years ago as part of a charity artist series. If you missed on the first one, here’s your second chance. Stephen “ESPO” Powers is getting national attention for his “Waterboarding” exhibit at Coney Island. For $1, you can get glimpse of the torture tactics used at Guantanamo Bay.
