Individual Sole

For years, Nike SB has been producing colorways based on pop culture icons and themes.  Some were official collaborations and some weren’t.  With the pictured Dunk Low, Eddie Van Halen’s camp pushes back against Nike for use of his trademarked graphics on an unreleased pai. The graphic stems from Van Halen’s infamous red/white/black striped pattern seen on his “Frankenstein” guitar which he has held the rights to since 2001.  Nike refutes the claim.  If EVH camp wins, these shoes will be a real tough find.

Most of you already know about the return of the Nike SB Lobster Dunk in a blue colorway.  Brought back by Boston based Concepts.  These special crustacian inspired kicks feature special packaging.  It will be bagged, tagged and sealed in a HAZMAT foam container.  The special package will only be available in an edition of 200 at Concepts and it drops this Saturday June 20th, 2009 at 11am.

October will bring the new Cassette Playa collaboration with Nike in the form of a Dunk High Premium.  It will be released at House of Hoops and Foot Locker locations.  The shoe is created with uppers and a midsole that are black with white contrast stitching. The mid and back quarter panels feature Orion Blue eyes with lime green above the heel.
