The Adidas Consortium 3Way Project begins the second leg with North American giants - DQM, Huf, Undefeated, and Goodfoot. Outside of the crazy Forum Highs, the look is a clean asthetics as they go with solid fabric uppers. No release date at this time, but a full look at the 5 sneaker collection after the jump!
For the Consortium 3Way project, Adidas took on a new approach to the collaborative process by bringing together a handpicked crop of 12 well-known sneaker locations across the globe to rework 5 iconic 3-Striped silhouettes as 3 unique groups. Group 1 united four leading sneaker boutiques: Alife Rivington Club (New York), LimitEDitions (Barcelona), Sneakersnstuff (Stockholm) and Patta (Amsterdam).
Patta redesigned the 1984 Forum Mid with the ladies in mind, putting a feminine touch on the silhouette with textures like suede, mesh and patent leather. The transparent panel on the instep enables you to show off your best socks. Pictures via SlamJam
Pictured is the 2nd wave of the Adidas AZX Consortium Collection. It is letters I-J-K-L-M-N-O and P with I for instore shoe, and O for Originals Store both not pictured. The most popular of this coming release should be the Neighborhood ZX 700 Boat. Other companies involved are Just Be, Kendo, Livestock, Major, and Patta. After hearing of the first part of the Adidas Consortium AZX lineup, we now get to see the other companies involved from A to Z. A through H range of the kicks will launch on August 8, 2008 with the 2nd series dropping on September 20th. That half includes, Major, Undefeated, Crooked Tongues, Neighborhood, and more. The Adidas Consortium ZX first released in 1984, redefining the standards of running shoe design. Fast forward to 2007 and Adidas asked the world’s well known sneaker designers and shops from around the world to come to Germany and create their own version of the ZX Shoe as part of special Consortium AZX Project. All 26 letters of the alphabet were assigned to the each of the representatives like H for Huf and D for DQM. Finally now in 2008 the Adidas Consortium AZX Project will now release in August at select retailers.
