For those that are MySpace junkies, Benny Gold’s mypace page has a new look. He made it consistent with the rest of the branding and showcases select pieces from his portfolio and store. Check it out and if you were wondering it is designed by 3RC Interactive.
After seeing this fitted all across the web, I had to pick one up. Part of the reason is that I was a big fan of Ice Cube and Boyz In the Hood. This Benny Gold Fitted is worth every penny for you fitted folks out there. The patterned satin lining and underbill sets this cap apart from those regular Detriot Tigers MLB New Eras out there. I rock more neutral tones, so I went with grey. It was available last week on Krudmart, so you might want to check there because these have been selling out everywhere.
Benny Gold posted a teaser of what to expect for the 2009. It’s hard to make most of it out, but it looks like a bike frame, backpack, a new fitted cap, and a key chain. More pics as they come, so stay posted!
Vault, in Harlem, just released a new hat that Benny Gold designed for them. The baseball team inspired logo combines a pitched ball with a money sack. Perfect for those fitted collectors with their eye on their money and their money on their mind.
The remainder of Benny Gold’s 2008 Holiday line should be hitting shops soon. The line includes: the highly anticipated Doughboy New Era inspired by Ice Cube’s character in Boyz in the Hood, featuring (satin lined with tonal paper plane argyle print), a matching doughboy shirt, Medium weight zip up hoodie with paper plane flight elbow pads and Gold Label Quality shirt (black / metallic gold and 49ers colorway).
Here’s a better look at Benny Gold’s upcoming New Era Inspired by Dough Boy, Ice Cube’s character from the John SIngleton classic Boys in the Hood. He took the familiar Detroit “D” and flipped it to fit the brand. Detailing on the hat includes an embroidered paper plane at the temple and satin argyle lining that continues onto the under brim.
