DC Celebrates Mike Blabac’s First Book and Shoe Release

On Tuesday, June 30th DC hosted an exclusive event at the powerHouse arena in Brooklyn, NY to celebrate the release of DC skate photographer, Mike Blabac’s first book, BLABAC PHOTO – The Art of Skateboarding photography. More than 150 media and industry VIPs, including DC athlete Ryan Smith, came to support Blabac and view the photo gallery exhibit showcasing 20 years of Blabac’s photography pulled from his extensive collection of work.

Issue 102 of Juxtapoz Magazine, the Brazil Issue, reviews the contemporary art scene in Brazil.  To celebrate its 10th Anniversary, and to coincide with Juxtapoz’s Brazil Issue, Upper Playground is giving away a paid trip to São Paulo, Brazil.  The trip includes:

Nike x Futura - Air Force 1 Low - Spring 2010

New York artist, Futura returns to collaborate with Nike by way of two Air Force 1 lows that are set to release in Spring 2010.  Compared to his collaborations in the past, these colorways of the Nike x Futura AF1, one in White and Orange and another in Grey and White, are quite toned down. Futura’s logo is featured on the shoe’s tongue.
