Upper Playground Releases 59FIFTY New Era Caps Designed by Herbert Baglione and Jeremy Fish

2009-09-september-new-era-group

Upper Playground is releasing two New Era caps designed by artists Herbert Baglione and Jeremy Fish. Baglione’s art has gained him respect and recognition from his native Brazil to the U.S. and abroad. He is known for his strong minimalist and simplistic approach to painting. Jeremy Fish’s artwork can be found throughout his own line, superFishal, through the multiple books he has been featured in, and in the various collaborations he has done with corporations like Nike and Adidas.

Cat Moonlight, the design by Baglione, gives us a wistful look at a full moon from a black cat’s perspective. Fish’s Bunny Skull design creates a clever wall paper-type pattern covering the entire fitted with bunny skulls. The new 59FIFTY caps are available at all Upper Playground retail stores and online at the Upper Playground web store.

DC x Nash Cad Well

nash_pair2_

Available exclusively at boutiques that carry the DC Life Collection, Nash unleashes his first collaborative effort ever. Using the DC Monterey as a base, Nash twisted, tore, and ripped the shoe apart, only to stitch it back together again, adding a custom crepe bottom. It’s Frankenstein meets mad scientist meets an old English gentleman inspiration.

Above all, it’s English wildfowler (duck hunter) meets mature street wear. The old English wildfowler aspect sees the use of luxury, hard-wearing fabrics, with the incorporation of earth colors. Paisley print was brought to the lining to add to the overall air of sophistication.

Available now at: DC Stores SoHo (NY), Melrose (LA) and Las Vegas
