Incase Curated by Arkitip Feat. André

sleeve5

The fifth installment of Curated by Arkitip features original André artwork—the distinctive “Mr. A” character that brought him street fame in Paris—screen-printed on an iPhone Slider Case as well as on a MacBook Sleeve, which features faux-leather construction, cotton-lined interior and André-branded YKK zipper pulls.

A native of Uppsala, Sweden, André began painting on the walls of Paris in 1985 and quickly became one of the city’s most prolific graffiti artists. He broke ground by becoming the first artist to use a character—”Mr. A,” a stick figure with a top hat—instead of a tag name. In “Love Graffiti,” one of his most famous projects, André spray paints a lover’s name in oversized bubble letters in a location of his client’s choice. In 2004, Andre and friends opened Le Baron, an elite and confidential micro-club created from a former bordello. André continues to redefine the art of nightlife itself. André splits his time between Paris and New York City.

Curated by Arkitip - Steven Harrington

“Curated by Arkitip” is a project designed for Incase, aimed at delivering artistically embellished Apple© products to users who have an appreciation for the creative arts and technology. All artists are carefully chosen by Arkitip for dedication to their respective art forms and unique points of view. Enjoy with great enthusiasm.

Original artwork from Los Angeles artist Steven Harrington is featured in the third installment of the Curated by Arkitip series. Influenced by Time-Life Encyclopedias 1965-1972, thrift stores and the 60s pysch sounds of The Moody Blues, his art might be termed ‘contextual objectivism’. That is, each piece is created as a tangible object symbiotically defined of a larger context. Both the Macbook sleeve and the iPhone case is available now at Arkitip
