Original Fake (Kaws) x Nike Air Max Series

Official news has dropped on the upcoming release of the Original Fake (Kaws) x Nike Sportswear Air Max Series.  It will release this Saturday, October 18th 2008 and the two pair set will be the iconic Air Max 90 and the Air Max 90 Current designed by Kaws and Nike Sportswear Design Director Jesse Leyva.

Featuring innovative 4-way stretch textiles, both shoes take inspiration from Nike’s ACG product line, creating “something with a trail running attitude, on an iconic footwear style” says Leyva. KAWS added, “I wanted to create a simple shoe that I could wear, with subtle design elements someone could enjoy on a more personal level.”

Nike “Flywire” Air Max 90 Current

I’m sorry, but Nike has dropped the ball on this Nike “Flywire” Air Max 90 Current.  The upper is done in a one piece style with “Flywire” material slapped on the top of black uppers.  It is coupled with white midsoles and blue accents.  Regardless, these shoes are ugly, but everyone has their own opinions.  August is the scheduled release month.
