Made especially for the Chinese market, Nike has created a three sneaker pack that celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival (September 14th), one of Chinese culture’s most important events. The pack emblazed in gold, white, and maroon includes the Terminator, Air Max 1 and Blazer. You’ll notice each includes laser etched designs and a rabbit/hare icon. Nike’s most recent Air Max 1 pays tribute to the Japanese star festival, Tanabata. Based on the celebration of the coming together of two lovers, Orihime and Hikoboshi separated by the milky way and are only allowed to meet once a year, on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month. You’ll notice the star patterns on the different panels and the glittery Tanabata tongue tag, along with patent leather.
