Select Jordan accounts will release the “A Tribe Called Quest” Air Jordan 1 Strap.  Done in the same colorway and iconic pattern of Tribe’s Midnight Mirauders album cover, the Js also have an upper strap similar to Nike Vandals.  Available at place like Proper in Long Beach.

Doernbecher Freestyle Air Jordan 1 by Tony Taylor Jr.

Nike kicks off their latest series of charity Doernbecher Freestyle shoes, designed by former patients of the Portland-based Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.  The first sneaker of five that we’ll be detailing is the Doernbecher Freestyle Air Jordan 1 High, designed by Tony Taylor Jr, or as his friends and family call him, Mr. Boober.  The shoe is made with a gradient fading patent leather and is actually just two pieces, a first for the normally multi-paneled silhouette. Jordan 1 Retro Low PHAT & Velcro

Pictured are two interesting new mockups for the Air Jordan 1 Retro that will release late-January 2009.  The first is the PHAT version that meshes the iconic colorway of the Jordan III complete with the elephant print.  The other pair is the Velcro done in a black and orange colorway with straps instead of laces for a unique look never seen before.  via SCE | Opium
