As the 2009 NBA All Star Game comes to the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix), Nike has commemorated the occasion with another special edition Air Force 1 as they have been doing for the past few years.   DJ Clark Kent is heading the effort with his taste in colors and worked in the host city’s own, the Phoenix Suns’ colorway. On the upper, he chose a lux tan nubuck for the front half with micro-perforations on on the toebox and side panels. The rest of the upper features a yellow perforated leather on the swoosh, tongue label and heel tab while the heel is a patent purple. The inner lining and to the midsole features orange while the outsole is a nice clean gum.  Finishing off the shoe,  Starks stepped in with a special design pair of laces.   Look for the exclusive drop a week prior to the All-Star Game in Phoenix.  via Sneakernews | Freshness

Today, Nike Sportswear gives the really last minute shoppers a black out collection of sneakers to choose from.  Included in the release are a “blackout’d” Dunk Hi, Air Force 1, Air Mogan, Air Max 90, and Lunar Racer. Available exclusively at 21 Mercer in New York City!  via SlamxHype

At the recent Nike Playmakers event, New York sports teams inspired Air Force 1s were display in DJ Clark Kent’s collection.  Sneaker News was on hand to get a closer look at the premium, alligator embossed leather on the uppers with clear Nike Air bubbles on the soles.  All three AF1s represent the New York teams from the Knicks, Yankees and Jets with on pair featuring all three of the teams’ colorways .  All four of the sneakers featured “21 Mercer” on the heel tab for the Nike Sportswear store on 21 Mercer Street.  No word yet on release information, but stay tuned.

Marok, publisher and director of Lodown Magazine is the latest person to join the ranks of the 1World project.  Featuring canvas on the side panels, eyelets, and swoosh along with shiny premium leather, the shoes are a nice mix of colors that are sure to please Air Force 1 fans.  NORT Berlin is taking reservations for these limited kicks for 200 Euros.  via Hypebeast

After seeing only limited pictures of DJ Clark Kent’s “Black Friday” Air Force 1, we now get all the details in these shots.  The Uppers are covered in black pony hair, lenticular material on the back panel, swoosh, and tongue along with a mid-sole wrap made of black patent leather with a rainbow reflective effect.  Retail at the drop was $150, but it will be a lot more on eBay.  via NiceKicks
