At the recent Nike Playmakers event, New York sports teams inspired Air Force 1s were display in DJ Clark Kent’s collection. Sneaker News was on hand to get a closer look at the premium, alligator embossed leather on the uppers with clear Nike Air bubbles on the soles. All three AF1s represent the New York teams from the Knicks, Yankees and Jets with on pair featuring all three of the teams’ colorways . All four of the sneakers featured “21 Mercer” on the heel tab for the Nike Sportswear store on 21 Mercer Street. No word yet on release information, but stay tuned.
NikeiD Bespoke is the new, innovative and globally exclusive by appointment design experience over at 21 Mercer in New York, offering consumers the opportunity to work one-on-one with Nike design consultants to customize select Nike footwear styles. It provides consumers with the greatest design freedom ever offered by NikeiD. Starting thing off with the iconic Air Force 1 sneaker, consumers will be able to create a unique design by customizing up to 31 parts of the shoe, including the base, overlay, accent, lining, stitching, outsole, laces and deubré. Consumers will also be able to choose from 82 premium, iconic materials and color options, including - Exclusive options include iconic Nike material prints Elephant and Safari, as well as premium options include premium full grain suede, nubuck and leathers, Italian full grain patent leather, premium denim and reflective synthetic leathers. via Sneaker Freaker
The Nike ACG line is celebrates its 20th anniversary with several re-issues and modern versions on classic trail shoes. The Air Magma, a leather boot that debuted in 1981 as a mountain boot, is redone with waterproof rip-stop nylon in five ACG colorways. The black boot is available globally, while theyellow is a U.S. exclusive, and magenta is a 21 Mercer (NY) exclusive with both releasing on November 22nd. via Complex
