British artist Damien Hirst was born in 1965 in Bristol, England.  During the 1990s Hirst was known as a wild child in the art world and his work embodied both everyday realism and provocative sensationalism. Known for his ironic wit and cultural commentary, Hirst often explores the theme of mortality through a variety of mediums and techniques from installation work, to painting and sculpture.

Hirst is known for his iconic graphic Spot paintings that depict rows of randomly-colored circles.  Supreme will release a series of five individually designed decks and a Box Logo tee designed by Damien Hirst featuring his Spot paintings.  Available in-store November 19th and online November 23rd. Over the last year we’ve been putting a lot energy into moving our 5-Panel cap program to same level as our fitted caps.  This release of 3 caps is the first introduction of our new efforts.  The drop includes a 2-tone canvas cap, a navy cap with contrasting white details inspired by navy pea coats, and a striped denim cap, which due to fabric availability is limited to only 25 pieces for the time being.  All three caps will be available this week at True, True East and trueclothing.net.  Keep your eyes open this holiday season for the follow up drops which take the exclusive fabrics and patterns even further.

Bags & wallets are produced by world-renowned manufacturer Porter Japan in conjunction w/ BR & WG in very limited quantities. Fabric is heavy-duty USAF 3/1 super-tight, water-repellant nylon twill used for the original classic 1957 Lion Uniform USAF MA-1 flying jacket now famously reproduced by BR, thus the bag is extremely durable and can be dry cleaned if soiled and brought back to new condition easily, owing to the inherent properties of 3/1 nylon twill, which is made exclusively by BR on vintage machinery. The snaps are anodized brass mil. spec. reproduced by Buzz Rickson.  These are available in both black and sage green.  All pieces are available at Self Edge.
