New Balance Re-Introduces the 498
First introduced in late 2000, the 498 is a New Balance silhouette evoking classic New Balance style that is being re-introduced for Fall 2009. Breathing new life into this core New Balance sneaker, New Balance is introducing new materials and colors to update the silhouette. Starting with the launch of a silver/black 498 in May, other color combinations will follow throughout Fall 2009 including green/silver, khaki/grey, purple/silver, brown/tan and grey/burgundy.
The 498 features Abzorb cushioning in the heel and a C-Cap midsole for comfort, durability and resistance to compression. The synthetic/mesh upper of the shoe provides breathability and flex. The 498 silhouette will be reintroduced for fall 2009 beginning in August and will retail for $80.00 and will be available at Finishline stores.
